There are a number of colour themes to select from.

Battery charge is simply represented via the four hazard bars top and bottom. Each bar is about 25% and will go black when the battery falls below the threshold. The bar will flash when the battery charge is in the respective range ie

100-75

75-50

50-35

35-0 (however the bar will disappear at 17% when the system icon appears in the top left corner)

TAP the screen to switch the date format eg 9/11 vs 11/9
