Many people know Pi as 3.14. But it actually has a long decimal expansion that never stops and never repeats itself. 3.14159265359.....
This means any series of digits can be found somewhere in the decimal expansion of Pi.
This watch face will show the first instance that the current time can be found in the decimal expansion of Pi and will show the digits surrounding that number too. This seemingly random set of numbers is a part of the value of Pi.
The position of the time is also provided in the top left for your interest and is zero indexed. For example:
- the time 14:15 is located at position 1 of the number Pi.
- the time 17:00 is located at position 31133 of the number Pi.
- the time 17:03 is located at position 8346 of the number Pi.
- the time 17:25 is located at position 138 of the number Pi.
Additional complications:
- on the bottom left is your step count.
- on the bottom center is your heart rate (BPM).
- on the bottom right is your active zone minutes (H:MM).
