The red indicator is the current sun position relative to your position.

At sunrise time, the red indicator will match the left transition between the yellow and blue ring, and at sunset, it will match the right transition point.

The clockface has also a dynamic background that is more brilliant during the day and dark at night.

This clock face require your location, it may work poorly the first time you use it while it doesn't receive the location.
